In Florida, a child found an unsecured firearm and fatally shot their mother during a Zoom Video conference call.
A participant on the video call dialed 911, reporting they had seen a child and heard a loud bang before Shamaya Lynn fell to the ground during the call.
Lynn, a 21, died in Altamonte Springs, near Orlando, on Wednesday.

"Investigators determined that the injury was caused by a toddler who found a loaded handgun, which was left unsecured by an adult in the apartment," Altamonte Springs police said in a statement. Police said Lynn was shot in the head.
In the police statement, police did not identify the child's relationship with Lynn. Still, Orlando NBC affiliate WESH reported that the police claimed that she was the child's mother.
According to authorities, the firearm belonged to the victim's two young children's father. The children were unharmed.
At this time, no charges are pending.
"If you own a firearm, please keep it locked and secured," Police Officer Roberto Ruiz Jr. said. "Incidents like this could be avoided."
Everytown for Gun Safety, a Gun-control advocacy group, estimates that at least 369 kids under 18 years of age have unintentionally discharged a firearm, resulting in 142 deaths.
