In an interview with Us Weekly, Ice-T's wife Coco Austin explains why she continues to breastfeed her 5-year-old daughter, Chanel, and why she would not stop breastfeeding her daughter unless Chanel requests it.
Coco explained that "Chanel still likes my boobs. It's a big bonding moment for a mother and child. Why take that away from her? "… If she doesn't want it, all right, that's where you stop it," the 42-year-old said. However, I will not just say "no."
Last year Coco mentioned breastfeeding the then nearly 4-year-old on Instagram, saying, "At this point in nursing, it's just for comfort, and believe me, the girl loves meat, so it's not like she isn't eating real food… thank you to all that understand my view. I see most of you are so eager to side with me, and I, too, root for you in your journey as well. Us moms are connected." In defense of his wife's decision to breastfeed, Ice-T said that it helped the little girl "to get close to her mom."
On Wednesday morning, the rapper and actor announced on his Twitter, "News Flash! We feed Chanel FOOD." He added, "She just likes to suck mom's boob every now and then… Me Too!!!"
