Celebrity Boxer And Rapper Gonzoe Shot Dead In Seattle At Age 45

Los Angeles-based rapper Gonzoe has been shot and murdered in Seattle. Gonzoe was born on February 4, 1976, as Ronald Moore.

He was a member of the Outlawz and had a close friendship with Tupac Shakur until he died in 1996. "Gonzoe" was given his stage name by 2Pac himself.

Also known as a member of rap group Kausion, which was signed to Ice Cube's Lench Mob Records in the mid-'90s,  Gonzoe and the gangsta rap group debuted on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Charts at No. 37.

Recently, former rival rapper Boskoe100 joined Gonzoe in forming the Glovez Up Gunz Down celebrity boxing league. It began after the two fought each other in a celebrity boxing match on Triller in April 2021.

On Friday, Boskoe100 posted two photographs from the fight on his Instagram post, honoring Gonzoe. The caption on the post read.

"Damn I hate to have to say this. Rest In Peace @imgonzoe. We really made history together bro. I feel for your son and family. I hope somebody knows what happened and slide on it. #StayFocusedBlacks"

Boskoe further described the circumstances of Gonzoe's murder in a later post.

'According to Boskoe, Gonzoe left a late-night studio session to grab some chicken to eat from a nearby bowling alley. At the bowling alley, Gonzoe allegedly got into an altercation. The assailant followed Gonzoe outside the bowling alley and fatally shot him.' Boskoe said in an IG LIVE.

Gonzoe sustained three gunshot wounds after being shot near Roxbury Lanes in Seattle.

Police believe he ran to the nearby Shell gas station, where he collapsed.

There are also reports that a bullet-riddled vehicle was found in the area.

The gunman is reportedly still at large, with KCSO describing it as an "active scene."
